It's been a long year since the shocking finale of The Handmaid's Tale season 4 back in June 2021 and, finally, we soon get to see what's next for June Osborne, Serena Joy and the rest of the inhabitants and escapees of Gilead when The Handmaid's Tale season 5 premieres.
*Spoilers ahead!*
The fourth season finale left us with a major cliffhanger: after years of abuse at his hand, June (Elisabeth Moss) finally gets her revenge against Commander Fred Waterford (Joseph Fiennes) when she, Emily (Alexis Bledel) and fellow former handmaids severely beat the Gilead politician to death in No Man's Land.
What will happen to Fred's wife Serena (Yvonne Strahovski), now a pregnant widow in a Canadian detention facility? Will June and Luke (O. T. Fagbenle) finally manage to get their daughter Hannah out of Gilead? We'll hopefully get some answers in the show's fifth season and, luckily for us, it's not the last: The Handmaid's Tale season 6 has already been officially picked up!
But before we can get into the show's grand finale, here's how to watch The Handmaid's Tale season 5, no matter where you are in the world.

Friends across the pond are almost in the clear: Channel 4 has confirmed that Margaret Attwood's book-turned-series will hit the network this fall.
"Over the series, The Handmaid’s Tale has remained reflective, high quality and hard-hitting. We’re thrilled Channel 4 and All4 audiences will be returning to Gilead to see further justice dispensed in the next riveting installment," Nick Lee, Channel 4's head of acquisitions, said in a statement.
This will coincide with Amazon Prime Video's debut of the show as well. The only issue? We still don't have a release date, but reps insist The Handmaid's Tale will be available this October. Phew! (Stand by for more.)
