Missing the Pogues? You can reunite with them in the new Outer Banks season 4 teaser, which Netflix unveiled at Tudum: A Global Fan Event on Saturday, June 17.

Outer Banks season 3 premiered on Thursday, February 23 and picked up right where we left our gang of teenaged treasure hunters, marooned on a secluded island. But even before then, there was excitement where OBX is concerned: Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Rudy Pankow and the rest of the cast had announced that the fourth season was officially on the way during a Poguelandia fan event on February 18.

"The Pogues are enjoying an adventure of a lifetime and we now get to map out more twists and turns as the joyride continues into Season 4 of Outer Banks,” series co-creators Jonas Pate, Josh Pate and Shannon Burke said to Variety at the time.

The fourth-season pick-up understandably left the OBX fandom pretty beside themselves, an excitement no doubt compounded by the recent Tudum event in Brazil, which was co-hosted by Stokes.

Here's what the teaser trailer revealed and what you can expect from Outer Banks season 4.

*Warning: spoilers ahead!*

The short teaser clip, entitled "The Pogues Get Ready For OBX4," features shots of the show's main cast members—Chase Stokes (John B), Madelyn Cline (Sarah), Madison Bailey (Kiara), Jonathan Daviss (Pope), Rudy Pankow (JJ) and Carlacia Grant (Cleo—before they pile into their VW van, affectionately known as "Twinkie," and take off.

Is there an 'Outer Banks' season 4 release date?

As of yet, there's no official release date for Outer Banks season 4. We'd imagine there won't be a huge wait time between the installments, though, as there were just seven months between the show's second and third seasons.

Who will be part of the 'Outer Banks' season 4 cast?

Given the new teaser, it's clear that all the main cast will reprise their roles as our loveable Pogues. However, we do know of two characters who likely won't be seen in season four (unless numerous flashbacks are in our future): both Ward (Charles Esten) and Big John (Charles Halford) were killed off Outer Banks season 3 ending

Cast members likely to return for Outer Banks season 4 include:

  • Chase Stokes (John B)
  • Madelyn Cline (Sarah)
  • Madison Bailey (Kiara)
  • Jonathan Daviss (Pope)
  • Rudy Pankow (JJ)
  • Carlacia Grant (Cleo)
  • Drew Starkey (Rafe)
  • Austin North (Topper)

What will 'Outer Banks' season 4 be about?

There have been no official plot points released yet, but we do have some intel on what's to come for the Pogues.

As we saw in the season 3 finale, which jumped 18 months into the future, the group is propositioned by a mysterious man to uncover the long-lost bounty of Blackbeard, the notorious English pirate who sailed along the Carolina coast in the early 18th century.

As for the time jump and this new adventure for the Pogues, Josh Pate told Tudum: "We felt like we needed to migrate them out of school. We think about the first three [seasons] as a trilogy and then we’re starting over on [another sort of] trilogy now. We just needed to clear the decks. We’re going to have new villains, a new treasure hunt, a new life situation."
