Where is Love Island UK filmed this year? It's the question we've all been asking ourselves when whispers of a new villa began circulating after Love Island season 8's big changes were announced earlier this year.

So as the show returns next month on Monday June 6, we're not only brushing up on how to watch Love Island UK no matter where we are in the world in summer as well as reminding ourselves of all the hilarious Love Island quotes from our favorite seasons. We need to know all the details about what to expect too, especially where exactly the new Islanders will be whisked away to.

At the moment, we're still waiting for ITV to confirm the Love Island 2022 lineup, though there have been some rumors about who will be appearing on the show— one of which includes former Love Island star Zara McDermott's younger brother. However, these are just speculations for the time being, much like the answer to yet another important question: how long does Love Island last?

Here's everything we know so far...

Where is Love Island UK filmed in 2022?

Love Island season seven is coming to our screen this Monday June 6 (eeek, we know—the excitement is real!) and several reports have confirmed, this year's show will return to its original destination of Mallorca, Spain for filming.

That's right, we'll be back on the sunny island... Well, the islanders will be there and we'll be watching from our sofas at home but we'll live vicariously through them. However, there will be one big change as the show is moving to a new villa.

This will be the fourth villa change on Love Island, and the first one since season three. Love Island UK has filmed at a property near Sant Llorenc des Cardassar, east of the Spanish island since 2017, but the now iconic villa won’t be available this summer hence the move, according to The Independent. While the new property has yet to be unveiled, we can definitely expect to see all the signature Love Island designs, from neon signs and a big pool to the all-important fire pit.

We can't wait!
