Do you remember who won Love Island UK 2021? After all the madness of Love Island 2022, we won't judge you for forgetting—though you might have noticed some of the Casa Amor antics gave you deja-vu. So here's your low down on the winning couple, including news of a major development in their relationship...

Last year's installment of our favorite summer series didn't quite give what we wanted it to. In fact, it was considered a bit of a flop among the best Love Island UK seasons. But it did have some memorable moments with one of the winning islanders swiftly becoming the most popular contestant on Love Island ever—we'll give you a clue, her nickname was 'Millie-Moo'!

So which couple took home the winning title and the £50,000 cash prize and are they still together?

Who won Love Island UK 2021?

After a turbulent ride in the villa, the public voted Millie Court and Liam Reardon the winners of Love Island 2021, with fellow islanders Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran as runners-up and Faye Winter and Teddy Soares in third place.

The couple made history as the first pair of bombshells to win the show, with both Liam and Millie entering the villa late—he on day four and she on say eight. The two started off strong, coupling up after their first date and continuing on as a pair that seemed pretty much set on one another. Then came Casa Amor...

Many viewers will be able to draw comparisons between Liam's antics in Casa to several of the boys in season eight—as well as the very dramatic recoupling that followed.

For those who don't know, Millie stayed loyal to Liam—he on the other hand explored a connection with new girl Lillie Haynes. He shared kisses with her and it looked as those he would be returning to the main villa with her.

Boy, were we wrong. He returned single, deciding that he wanted Millie and clearly thinking that his behavior would stay a secret. But nothing that happens in Casa Amor stays in Casa Amor. In a dramatic twist, Lillie and the rest of the Casa girls were brought into the villa after their reunion, where she spilled the beans.

Millie was of course heartbroken and broke things off with Liam, but after some days apart and lots of 'grafting' (yes, that's still one of our favorite Love Island quotes and sayings) from Liam, they decided to give things another go and well, the rest is history!

They soon joined the fabled list of Love Island couples still together post-villa—that is until now...

Are Love Island 2021 winners Millie and Liam still together?

Sadly, a year on from their win, Millie announced that she and Liam had split. It came as quite the shock, as the pair had bought and moved into a £1 million Essex home together and looked to be as solid as a rock.

Taking to her Insta story though, Millie revealed that they had made the 'tough' decision to break up. She said: "Hi everyone, to avoid any speculation Liam and I wanted to share with you that we have separated. It’s been a tough decision and I am gutted but it’s ultimately what is best for us right now..."

Liam also shared a statement, adding: "We both will continue to be friends and I will remain Millie's biggest supporter in all that she does and I know she will always do amazing."

The pair have not confirmed the reason for their shock split—but it's safe to 'Milliam' fans everywhere are heartbroken!
