It's finally here—the Golden Globes are tonight (yay!) and with them come all of the fabulous fashions, famous folks and frivolous fun you could dream of. We're plenty excited about all of the great movies and TV shows featured in the Golden Globes 2021 nominations, but one of our favorite nominees of the year is the ever-stylish Elle Fanning, who is recognized in the Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy category for her fittingly great performance in The Great on Hulu.

And though the actual Golden Globes ceremony hasn't even started yet, Fanning has already given us stuff to talk about with her virtual red carpet look. The 22-year-old blonde—who unfortunately was not able to attend tonight's ceremony in person, as she is currently posted up in London to film the second season of The Great—gave her followers an early-bird sneak peek at her glam awards show look on Instagram, and it can be summed up in one word: stunning

Looking like the 2021 version of a Disney princess, Fanning wore a custom, icy blue satin Gucci gown with beautiful draping, embroidered crystal brooches, and bejeweled straps. Not to be outshone, however, was her Fred Leighton jewelry, including dangling earrings perfectly offset with a sleek, twisted ballerina bun.

Fanning's look proved to be a social media stand-out during the red carpet, with one fan posting on Twitter: "elle fanning is already winning with this look, now give her the golden globe award." Other Twitter users clearly agreed, with one posting "elle fanning looks GORGEOUS" and another writing "God is a woman and her name is Elle Fanning." Another fan wrote simply: "Elle fanning. that's the tweet"

In the Best Actress category, first-time nominee Fanning competes tonight against Lily Collins of Emily in Paris, Kaley Cuoco of The Flight Attendant, Jane Levy of Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist and Catherine O'Hara of Schitt's Creek. It's a great bunch of ladies, but whether she gets the gold tonight or not, Fanning and that gorgeous gown are winners in our book!
