Ready a bowl of popcorn: Paramount Plus UK is on its way.

After a successful debut year in the US in 2021, the streaming service is venturing across the pond, bringing along 500 movies and 400 shows. Do familiarize yourself with how to make an outdoor movie theater—the platform will arrive just in time for the warm weather.

Paramount Plus UK: What you need to know

According to a tweet from the company, British audiences will be able to indulge in Paramount Plus offerings beginning summer 2022. Everything you've come to expect from the service in the states will also be available in the UK.

For those who cannot turn their attention away from Netflix, Paramount Plus offers selections from CBS, Nickelodeon, BET, MTV, Comedy Central and the Smithsonian Channel, and even live TV.

It's home to movies such as the horror hit A Quiet Place, the Mission Impossible action series and so much more. For the millennials who feel the need to reacquaint themselves with '90s Nickelodeon or the South Park canon, this is the perfect opportunity.

Fans can also look forward to 50 new international originals that the company has planned, according to a follow-up tweet. Current originals in the US that have gained traction include the Yellowstone spinoff series 1883, Mayor of Kingstown and Ru Paul's Drag Race: All-Stars, among others.

How much is Paramount Plus UK?

Although prices have yet to be revealed, if the service follows its US-based model, UK residents are likely to have two options. In the US, subscribers can pay either $4.99 per month for an essential subscription or $9.99 per month for a premium subscription (perks include no ads, 24/7 live news and more).
