Before drawing on inspiration from #OOTD and Pinterest boards, our favorite TV shows gave us TV style icons and the fashion inspiration we craved. From trying to find the exact lipstick Jennifer Aniston wore as Friend's Rachel Green or trying to live our best Sweet Valley High lives by adopting one of these 90s fashion trends or obsessing over The Nanny Fran Fine's fashion, the options for inspiration were endless. So what—and who—has had the greatest impact on our wardrobe?
Money.co.uk (opens in new tab) did some digging to uncover the characters with an A+ taste who've inspired shopping sprees (and streaming marathons). Over the past 12 months, the site has analyzed Google traffic to gather its findings. If you're thinking about updating what's in your closet, your timing is impeccable: Let's start with the top three TV shows that influenced our style the most. Can we get a drumroll, please?
Gossip Girl came in third with a whopping 360,100 annual searches—the show was the inspiration for the AW21 Alice + Olivia collection too. The silver medal went to the cult favorite Friends, which draws 694, 200 searches per year. And the top spot—our gold medal—went to Euphoria with a staggering 1,107,700 yearly searches. Phew!
But Money.co didn't stop there. The site decided to kick things up a notch by looking at specific characters, and we can't resist an in-depth style analysis.
- Who was voted the favorite Friend's character? Not sure we 100% agree with this tbh
