Alexa Demie, a.k.a. Maddy from 'Euphoria', just debuted a drastic new hairstyle

This new Alexa Demie hair look is the complete opposite of her character on the drama series

You know and love Maddy from Euphoria for her fierce double liner, long black hair, and confident attitude.

But  Alexa Demie has shed Maddy's iconic look and debuted a new, drastic hair transformation in the form of a sophisticated pixie cut coined as the 'Bixie'. The elevated 90s hairstyle would make Rachel Green proud.

Oh, and did we mention she's also got micro bangs now? While, yes, the nod to our favorite decade is one of the many 2022 hair trends gaining popularity, it was a bit of a shock to find our Maddy Perez without her signature lengthy strands.

In the first snaps of the actress's new look, she is donning an all-black ensemble—a cropped top, mesh pants, and sleek sunglasses—while outside of an auto repair shop. It's all very Keanu Reeves in The Matrix. (We told you we're all about that '90s fashion.) And she debuted her micro bangs, an extension of her new hair look, at Paris Fashion Week.

Have a look at the new Alexa Demie hair style below and try not to do a double-take!

Alexa Demie hair: Maddy from 'Euphoria' gets new 'do

Recently, Demie debuted a new short hair style. And in typical Gen Z fashion, fans were quick to flock Twitter to share their thoughts on the eye-catching 'do.

"Oh absolutely," one Twitter user wrote, and we'd have to agree.

Alexa Demie micro bangs: she's added even more edge to her look

Just as we were getting to grips with her new short crop, Demie debuted yet another big change to her look at Balenciaga's show during Paris Fashion Week!

Demie is making a major case for micro bangs, which are a throwback to the noughties grunge trend of teeny tiny fringe hairstyles. They're certainly dramatic, and a fun change to her once long locks!

It's not all that surprising that Alex Demie has been trying out new looks—we imagine she may have stolen some edgy inspiration from her current role as Maddy in Euphoria. In addition to being one of the most emotional shows on TV, it's also one of the most fashionable TV shows: between Rue's grunge outfits, Kat's dominatrix vibe and Cassie's girly-girl ensembles, to name just a few, there is no shortage of style inspiration to work with.

Even in terms of cosmetics, fans are attempting to recreate the Euphoria beauty looks. (Our writer gives you the intel you need to nail the looks yourself.) So we were thrilled to hear that this Glossier serum is actually used by the show's make-up artists, to create a soft and dewy base.

One thing is for sure: it's Rue and Co's world, and we're just living in it.
