Leave it to Lynn Ban to bring the literal bling to Bling Empire: New York, the East Coast-based spin-off of the popular Netflix series that follows the lavish lives of a group of incredibly wealthy Asian-Americans.

"Lynn is a couture jewelry designer with an edgy fashion sense who’s not afraid to give her opinion and pulls no punches. Her success leaves her husband, Jett Kain, feeling overshadowed, and she has to negotiate his desire to step aside from their business and pursue his own endeavors," reads Ban's official cast synopsis from Netflix.

Lynn joins returning Bling Empire cast member Dorothy Wang and high-fashion newcomers like Tina Leung, Blake Abbie and Stephen Hung in the Bling Empire: New York cast, who fans were introduced to when the series premiered on Friday, January 20.

After graduating from the NYU Gallatin School of Individualised Studies, Ban decided to settle in Manhattan permanently.

Of her decision to join the Bling Empire spinoff, Ban told WWD: “I wanted to share my story of how I immigrated here, worked my way up and navigated being an Asian mother, wife and designer in the fashion industry, balancing work and my home life.” She wants the series to show that the "crazy rich Asian" world is “not only a life of private jets, shopping sprees and parties,” she tells the outlet.
