With the arrival of Bling Empire season 3, we were already feeling pretty darn spoilt, but now Netflix is giving us even more glitz and drama—with a spin-off series in the Big Apple! Here’s what you need to know about the Bling Empire: New York cast and the spin-off’s leading lady—Dorothy Wang.
After making an iconic cameo on Bling Empire season two, where she had a very awkward exchange with Kane Lim, Dorothy Wang is expanding the Bling Empire to the city that never sleeps—NYC!
In the new series, we’ll see Wang navigate New York’s dating pool plus, from the looks of it, we’ll watch the drama unfold from a fair few messy relationships to rival that of Kevin Kreider and Kim Lee’s. Okay, we’re really excited now…
What will 'Bling Empire: New York' be about?
The spin-off series will follow NYC’s richest and most elite Asian-Americans as they hunt for love, status and power. We'll see IT girls rub shoulders with CEOs and entrepreneurs as they strut down the pavements of NY's richest districts.
The new series will feature a whole host of new faces and one of two familiar ones too - and if the teaser trailer is anything to go by, it’s going to be juicy. Netflix announced the new series on October 4th with a first-look trailer that opens with the words, ‘In New York, anything can happen…”
In the teaser we see Dorothy Wang—who appeared in the second season of Bling Empire and Rich Kids of Beverly Hills—arrive in New York and begin her quest for love, saying: “I'm hoping that I'll vibe with New York guys more than LA guys.”
See the trailer for yourself…
We’re also introduced to a score of new, glamorous names including Dorothy's influencer pal Tina Leung, who she’s enlisted to help her find a man.
But don’t worry, the series won’t just focus on dating. It will also seemingly feature heartbreaks, drama and a number of feuds—which we’ve come to love and expect from their LA counterparts.
Plus, we’ll also get tours around their lavish multi-million dollar homes, go on shopping sprees with them, and no doubt, a fair few A-list parties.

Who is in the 'Bling Empire: New York' cast?
So who else will be joining the cast you ask? Along with Dorothy and Tina, Hudson Medical's Richard Chang will also appear and will likely stir up trouble as he claims he’s dated "half of the population in New York City."
Designer Lynn Ban and fashion editor Blake Abbie will also be starring in the series—though there’s no word yet if we’ll see any cameos from the O.G. cast, though Kevin Kreider previously revealed that he's relocated to NYC, so watch this space…
When is the 'Bling Empire: New York' release date?
So far, there's no word on an official release date. However, at the end of the trailer, Netflix teased that the series would be "coming soon."
Considering how the third installment of Bling Empire has only just landed on the streaming platform, we may have a few more months to wait until we see Dorothy take on New York. But at least we can catch up with the likes of Anna Shay in Los Angeles right now!
